My name is Ruth. I am qualified with a BA Honours in Integrated Childhood Studies and Early Years
Professional Status (or Early Years Teacher Status), with 20 years experience in a variety of settings,
including working with children with special needs. I hold a Teaching Certificate in Post-Compulsory
Education (Further Education) and a Diploma in Dyslexia with Distinction. I also have a Distinction
in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and have 5 years experience of tutoring students
(1 to 1), with children with dyslexia, ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, Down's Syndrome, and English as a
Second Language.
I can help to meet your children's needs, by providing them with a tailored teaching programme, including a
grammar and punctuation programme, help with STATS tests and GCSE English,
or English as a second language.
I can help your child gain confidence and new skills in English, reading, spelling and phonics and grammar
and punctuation, so they are able to progress in their educational journey.
A coaching programme for parents of children with Dyslexia and/or special needs, is also part of our services,
to help parents handle their child's difficulties at home and school, and guide them through their schooling
and educational years.
